Volume 8 of Freestyle Friday was a close contest.

Five determined and gifted emcees went hard on the mic, at the Bit Bender Studio. However, only one winner stands tall based on votes from listeners.

The winner was chosen via votes compiled on www.nizzlesway.blogspot.com.

Voters decided that Izzy Blao (the 2nd Freestyler) repping Akoka was the illest of them all. His hardcore style impressed listeners.

Izzy is the eighth winner of Freestyle Friday and goes home with the prize of owning the beat and a guest on WATAGWAN, a show on Unilag FM on Wednesdays (6pm-7pm).

The Next edition holds this Friday at the studio venue. Auditions hold for interested participants at the studio (327 Borno Way Alagomeji) on Wednesday between the hours of (4pm-5pm). No late coming please.

Bit Bender Entertainment is a registered company, currently powered by STAFF Navigator limited. We opened for business on the 2nd of October 2009 at 327 BORNO WAY, ALAGOMEJI-YABA. The studio is equipped with the state of the art sound equipments, such as a 32/64 channel Topaz Mixer, latest software and a conducive environment for a decent production.

The concept behind the name is simply an awareness of the effect of the digital world in everything around us, our communication evolved from posting letters to using email, our transportation shifted from donkeys to automatic transmission, and our music played from analog to digital. We are surrounded by BITs everywhere, all these transformation have a touch of computer in it, and the language of computer is 0’s and 1’s, known as bits.

At Bit Bender Entertainment, we simply switch on the bits of 0’s and 1’s, bend it into something that you can hear and feel. So when you hear Bit Bender, it’s not B-E-A-T respell but the art of bending 0’s and 1’s to create an impressive audiovisual for you to feel and enjoy.

We have been privileged to work with and for some of the well known artistes of our time and we hope to do more. We have not disappointed any of our clients in terms of quality production and we intend to keep it that way.  We have used a whole year to get familiar with the entertainment industry in our environment, we have acquired experience per step taken and we can now say we are ready to go all out. We have a schooled producer who knows his onions, and our signed artistes are set to take over the airwaves.

Our in-house producer Amos Kantiok, popularly known as SLEEKAMO said he has a word for others; he said and I quote “TAP ALL YOU LIKE AND FLIP WHILE YOU CAN… TRUTH IS, MY BEATS OWN YOURS”. Introducing our very own singer, song writer and a proficient entertainer Samuel Yakubu (SAMMY) set to take it to the next level.

I love to use a message from CATS during the Sega mega drive Zero Wing, which says “ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US”, what I do is simply rephrase it, like the avatar we are the Bit Bender, and we are saying “ALL YOUR BEATS ARE BELONG TO US”.
